Brand strategy for founders who can’t afford to get it wrong.

I help founder-led companies figure out what their brand should be — then help them build it.

Need a second opinion on your brand? Let’s talk.

A logo isn’t a brand. It’s what a brand wears.

Many founders think branding means a clean logo, two colors, and a tagline. Three months later, sales are flat, customers are arguing over price, and nobody remembers the name. That’s not a design problem. It’s a strategy problem.

A logo is what your business wears. Strategy is what it stands for.

Three things every real brand strategy needs:

Differentiation: knowing exactly who you’re for, specifically enough that being the only choice for that group beats being one of thousands for everyone.

Voice: a consistent way of showing up, so people know what to expect from you before they ever buy.

An unfair advantage: the one thing you deliver that’s genuinely hard to copy, stated clearly enough to build a business around.

Design makes a brand look good. Strategy makes it profitable. That’s the order I work in.

How I help.

Brand Strategy & Positioning: Defining who you are, who you’re for, and how you say it. Positioning, messaging, naming, brand architecture. Clarity you can build on.

Fractional Brand Advisory: A senior brand voice in the room, without a full-time hire. I review creative, guide vendors, and keep decisions consistent as you grow.

Design & Execution, When It Counts: Once strategy is set, I bring it to life myself — identity, campaigns, websites — or direct the right specialists to do it.

I don’t sell a menu of services. I sell judgment, applied to your brand, in whatever form you need it.

About

For 25+ years, I’ve worked with founders to build brands that hold up — not just ones that look good on day one. I’m Level C – Certified Brand Specialist under Marty Neumeier (author of Zag and The Brand Gap), trained in the discipline behind differentiation-first brand strategy. I combine that with a strategist’s discipline: an honest read on what’s working, a clear recommendation on what’s next, and the judgment to know when to bring in more hands versus do the work myself.

Define → Position → Decide → Build (if needed) → Measure. Progress over process, outcomes over rigid frameworks.

I have never met a more talented and resourceful collaborator. Ralph built my brand to levels I could only imagine. His responsiveness, dedication, and creativity are extraordinary. He has exceptional branding, e-commerce, design and digital marketing skills. I am in awe of his work — and how it increased revenue and worldwide exposure.
