Penguin Hall is a magnificent 50-acre estate north of Boston. Owner Jim Mullen teamed with Wise Living to envision the estate as an elegant independent-living community with unprecedented services.
The idea embodied a unique mix of elements: a boldly innovative vision for a new level of senior community created in a venerable estate that harkens back to the era of grand living.
The question: Could it work?
Outcome
Major tools to begin answering that question included a brand presence, marketing campaign and materials that honored the personality of Penguin Hall while clearly communicating the exciting prospects of fully supported, long-term aging in place.
Armed with those, the Penguin Hall team launched an initial sales effort to test and measure receptiveness to the idea, validated by early placeholder deposits.
Using direct response lead generation, an inspiring website and quality marketing, the sales team generated sufficient interest to warrant moving ahead to the next stage: finalizing plans, securing later-phase funding, and entering the lengthy gantlet of arduous governmental approval processes.
